Cheat code for the YouTube kids app.

I was pretty proud of myself for figuring this one out...

Howdy,

When I set up YouTube kids, I was shocked…

Even with the right age range selected, my son would stumble into really weird rabbit holes.

Like random videos of kids playing with toys and speaking foreign languages.

In trying to sort this out, I stumbled across a secret…

Today, we have…

1. Parenting tip: The ultimate cheat code for YouTube Kids.

2. Business tip: 6 rules everyone ought to know about sales.

3. Internet thing: Next time you go to the store, let your kids drive.

1. The ultimate cheat code for YouTube Kids.

YouTube is a treasure trove AND it’s full of garbage.

Even the kid’s app is jammed with weird videos.

This simple tip ensures that your kid will only be able to watch content you pre-approve.

It’s easy to modify if you want to add more stuff/take things away.

2. 5 rules everyone ought to know about sales.

Maybe you’re…

  • Convincing a prospective client to go with your services.

  • Interviewing for a new job.

  • Going on a first date.

  • Raising money.

Whether you like it or not, you’re always selling.

The better you are, the more you’ll get in life.

I’ve spent the last 10 years learning these 5 things about sales (steal them)…

1. Know what their favorite thing to hear is.

Their name. Use it often.

What’s their second favorite thing to hear?

The names of their kids and/or pets. Ask about them.

2. Don’t show up empty-handed.

Win a meeting before it ever starts.

Bring a gift.

Afterward, follow up differently…

Send something valuable along with a handwritten thank you note.

3. Listen first, pitch second.

Pitching means you’re not learning.

Spend as much time as possible listening to their problems.

4. Keep questions in the present.

“Would you…” is useless. People are optimistic about the future.

Focus on today…

“What is your biggest challenge?

“What are the implications of that?”

“When did it last happen?”

“What did you do about it?”

5. Trade items of unequal value.

Figure out what they care about and deliver it.

$100 for two tickets to a game may be what lands a $100k+ deal.

3. Next time you go to the store, let your kids drive.

P.S. If this was helpful, take 1 minute to forward it to a friend or family member. It takes me 2+ hrs to make.

See ya next week!
