Bill Gates and Warren Buffet step into a room.
Gates asks a simple question...

Howdy,

In 2005, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are presenting at a conference.
Gates asks him…
“How do you make good decisions during tough times?”
His answer is a masterclass on how to live (and parent).
Let’s dive in…
He says:
I can afford to lose money but…

Makes sense.
But, how does he practice this belief?
“The newspaper test.”
Whenever he’s faced with a tough choice, he asks himself:

What’s your takeaway?
Well, your kids don’t do what you say.
They do what you do.

This means one thing…
You’ve got to hold yourself to a higher standard.
One that’s “newspaper” level.
So, what happens if you fall short?
No biggie.
We all slip up and have low moments with our kids.
The key is to…

Your weekly knowledge drop
Every day someone asks you something like:
“What do you do?” or “What does your company do?”
And, if you’re anything like me, you fumble the answer every time.
Here’s how you explain your work in a way that captivates:
The key here is setting it up like a story.
Here’s where the story starts…

Pause.
If you're solving a real problem and the person is a target customer, you’ll get a genuine “Yes, I hate that!”
This is a hook, and now they are, well, hooked.
So now, you can carry on with…

Now, that you’ve actually piqued their interest, there’s a likelihood they’ll ask, “How do you do it?”
Then you can launch into…

At this point, you can start talking about features/benefits and anything else you think they might like.
This works because...
1. People buy transformation, and this helps them see it.
2. No one cares what you do. They care what you can do for them.
Quote of the week
Whatever you’re not changing, you’re choosing.
P.S. When the student becomes the teacher….

P.P.S. If this was helpful, take 1 minute to forward it to a friend or family member. It takes me 2+ hrs to make.
See ya next week!
